Lung Health Ambassador Program
The Lung Health Ambassador Program aims to train young students (ranging from 7th grade to 12th grade) in regards to lung health and pathology, risk factors, and ways to advocate for clean air. The Program culminates with an advocacy action in order to help reduce air pollution, both indoor and outdoor, that often ravages disadvantaged neighborhoods and populations. The program ends with a graduation ceremony, with each student becoming a certified Lung Health Ambassador.

Medical Education Resources Initiatives for Teens
This Health Leadership Academy is a yearlong career mentorship and academic program to support high school students from underrepresented background who would like to pursue a career in health. Submit an application by mid-November. |
Summer Academic Research Experience
SARE caters to high school students from low income, diverse backgrounds who are interested in biomedical research. The program provides additional academic support and access to various modern scientific research skills for those wanting a career in the STEM field. |
Volunteer Opportunities
The Bea Gaddy Family Centers is a community based nonprofit organization that assists and provides food and other items to our neighbors throughout the Greater Baltimore Metropolitan Area and throughout Maryland. Find recurring or one time volunteer opportunities:
Real Food Farm is welcoming up to 10 volunteers to help around the farm every Tuesday. All are welcome regardless of experience or ability, and volunteer groups representing an organization are also welcome. All volunteers are encouraged to bring a water bottle, a hat, sturdy closed toe shoes, weather appropriate clothes you would not mind getting dirty, sunscreen, and snacks. The Civic Works farm is at 2801 Saint Lo Drive, Baltimore, MD 21213 and volunteer hours would be between 9:30 and 12:30pm.
